What AskOtto is
AskOtto is a conversational vehicle search agent that helps you find, compare, and learn about vehicles — primarily wholesale auction inventory before it reaches dealer lots. Otto is an advisory tool: it surfaces and explains listings to help you decide. It is not a seller, a broker, or an auctioneer, and it does not complete sales on your behalf.
Who can use it
During the beta, access is gated by an invite code. You must be 18 or older to create an account. [TBD — owner/legal: residency restrictions, dealer-credential requirements for dealer-audience features.]
Vehicle information is advisory, not binding
Listings, prices, valuations, and "Otto's Take" insights are derived from third-party data sources (including Manheim auction data and MMR wholesale values) and from our own analysis. This information can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Nothing Otto shows is an offer to sell, a binding price, or a guarantee of vehicle condition or availability. Always verify specifics (mileage, condition, title status, sale date) with the actual seller or auction house before relying on them.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service — that includes scraping listings at volume, attempting to reverse-engineer or overload our systems, using Otto to harass other users or dealers, or reselling access. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Your account
You can start using Otto anonymously — we create an anonymous session for you so you can browse without signing up. If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Anonymous sessions can be upgraded to a real account without losing your saved preferences.
Dealer introductions
One of Otto's features is connecting interested buyers with dealers. If you indicate strong interest in a vehicle, we may share relevant context with a dealer so they can follow up. This is an introduction, not an endorsement of the dealer or a commitment to transact.
Service availability
Otto is in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed. Inventory data depends on upstream feeds (Manheim, NHTSA) and may have gaps. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Termination
You can stop using Otto at any time. We can suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or if we discontinue the service. [TBD — owner/legal: data retention on account closure.]
Contact
Questions about these terms? Use the in-app "Send feedback" button or email [TBD — owner/legal: official contact address].
Future terms
[TBD — owner/legal: governing law, dispute resolution/arbitration, limitations of liability, indemnification, and other standard provisions will be drafted by counsel before the finalized terms are published.]
